A continual dropping in a very rainy day\par\tab And a contentious woman are alike:

He that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child\par\tab Shall have him become a son at the last.

It is better to dwell in a desert land,\par\tab Than with a contentious and fretful woman.

It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop,\par\tab Than with a contentious woman in a wide house.

A foolish son is the calamity of his father;\par\tab And the contentions of a wife are a continual dropping.

For a servant when he is king;\par\tab And a fool when he is filled with food;

There are four things which are little upon the earth,\par\tab But they are exceeding wise:

A worthy woman is the crown of her husband;\par\tab But she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
