Let thy father and thy mother be glad,\par\tab And let her that bare thee rejoice.

A foolish son is a grief to his father,\par\tab And bitterness to her that bare him.

And her neighbors and her kinsfolk heard that the Lord had magnified his mercy towards her; and they rejoiced with her.

My son, be wise, and make my heart glad,\par\tab That I may answer him that reproacheth me.

My son, give me thy heart;\par\tab And let thine eyes delight in my ways.
