He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man:\par\tab He that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.

For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty;\par\tab And drowsiness will clothe {\i a man} with rags.

But she that giveth herself to pleasure is dead while she liveth.

traitors, headstrong, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;

There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise;\par\tab But a foolish man swalloweth it up.

The wicked is a ransom for the righteous;\par\tab And the treacherous {\i cometh} in the stead of the upright.
