Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty; but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbor.

To have respect of persons is not good;\par\tab Neither that a man should transgress for a piece of bread.

Thou shalt not wrest justice: thou shalt not respect persons; neither shalt thou take a bribe; for a bribe doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.

He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the righteous,\par\tab Both of them alike are an abomination to Jehovah.

And they send to him their disciples, with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one: for thou regardest not the person of men.

that justify the wicked for a bribe, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!\par

That respecteth not the persons of princes,\par\tab Nor regardeth the rich more than the poor;\par\tab For they all are the work of his hands.

Their hands are upon that which is evil to do it diligently; the prince asketh, and the judge {\i is ready} for a reward; and the great man, he uttereth the evil desire of his soul: thus they weave it together.

And justice is turned away backward, and righteousness standeth afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and uprightness cannot enter.

Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to turn aside after a multitude to wrest justice:

Thou shalt not wrest the justice due to thy poor in his cause.

Also to punish the righteous is not good,\par\tab {\i Nor} to smite the noble for {\i their} uprightness.

Lest they drink, and forget the law,\par\tab And pervert the justice {\i due} to any that is afflicted.

Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, that abhor justice, and pervert all equity.

neither shalt thou favor a poor man in his cause.
