Whoso loveth correction loveth knowledge;\par\tab But he that hateth reproof is brutish.

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, lest his works should be reproved.

A wise son {\i heareth} his father's instruction;\par\tab But a scoffer heareth not rebuke.

He is in the way of life that heedeth correction;\par\tab But he that forsaketh reproof erreth.

The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that its works are evil.

They have stricken me, {\i shalt thou say}, and I was not hurt;\par\tab They have beaten me, and I felt it not:\par\tab When shall I awake?\par\tab I will seek it yet again.\par

But ye have set at nought all my counsel,\par\tab And would none of my reproof:

The way of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah;\par\tab But he loveth him that followeth after righteousness.

Sheol and Abaddon are before Jehovah:\par\tab How much more then the hearts of the children of men!

Because they turned aside from following him,\par\tab And would not have regard in any of his ways:

Seeing thou hatest instruction,\par\tab And castest my words behind thee?

Hast thou not procured this unto thyself, in that thou hast forsaken Jehovah thy God, when he led thee by the way?

Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it, and he turn not from his way; he shall die in his iniquity, but thou hast delivered thy soul.\par
