Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding;\par\tab But {\i that which is} in the inward part of fools is made known.
A fool's vexation is presently known;\par\tab But a prudent man concealeth shame.
Yea also, when the fool walketh by the way, his understanding faileth him, and he saith to every one {\i that} he is a fool.
A fool uttereth all his anger;\par\tab But a wise man keepeth it back and stilleth it.
The heart of the righteous studieth to answer;\par\tab But the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
Every prudent man worketh with knowledge;\par\tab But a fool flaunteth {\i his} folly.
A prudent man concealeth knowledge;\par\tab But the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.
The tongue of the wise uttereth knowledge aright;\par\tab But the mouth of fools poureth out folly.
For wisdom shall enter into thy heart,\par\tab And knowledge shall be pleasant unto thy soul;
The wicked is thrust down in his evil-doing;\par\tab But the righteous hath a refuge in his death.
Righteousness exalteth a nation;\par\tab But sin is a reproach to any people.
