Better is he that is lightly esteemed, and hath a servant,\par\tab Than he that honoreth himself, and lacketh bread.

For every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.}\par

There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing:\par\tab There is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great wealth.

{\b This people honoreth me with their lips;\par\tab But their heart is far from me.}

A man shall be commended according to his wisdom;\par\tab But he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.

A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast;\par\tab But the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
