{\i Though} hand {\i join} in hand, the evil man shall not be unpunished;\par\tab But the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
For to you is the promise, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, {\i even} as many as the Lord our God shall call unto him.
and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them:
Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to Jehovah:\par\tab {\i Though} hand {\i join} in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
All the day long he dealeth graciously, and lendeth;\par\tab And his seed is blessed.
A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children;\par\tab And the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous.
Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to turn aside after a multitude to wrest justice:
Wrath is not in me: would that the briers and thorns were against me in battle! I would march upon them, I would burn them together.
They that are perverse in heart are an abomination to Jehovah;\par\tab But such as are perfect in {\i their} way are his delight.
{\i As} a ring of gold in a swine's snout,\par\tab {\i So is} a fair woman that is without discretion.
Then all the men who knew that their wives burned incense unto other gods, and all the women that stood by, a great assembly, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying,
Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.
But thou art full of the judgment of the wicked:\par\tab Judgment and justice take hold {\i on thee}.
There shall no mischief happen to the righteous;\par\tab But the wicked shall be filled with evil.
