To know wisdom and instruction;\par\tab To discern the words of understanding;

Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister;\par\tab And call understanding {\i thy} kinswoman:

Wherefore is there a price in the hand of a fool to buy wisdom,\par\tab Seeing he hath no understanding?

O ye simple, understand prudence;\par\tab And, ye fools, be of an understanding heart.

How much better is it to get wisdom than gold!\par\tab Yea, to get understanding is rather to be chosen than silver.

Hear, {\i my} sons, the instruction of a father,\par\tab And attend to know understanding:

The fear of Jehovah is the instruction of wisdom;\par\tab And before honor {\i goeth} humility.\par

Then shalt thou understand righteousness and justice,\par\tab And equity, {\i yea}, every good path.

Hear instruction, and be wise,\par\tab And refuse it not.

Hear counsel, and receive instruction,\par\tab That thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.
