Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a merchant seeking goodly pearls:
For what shall a man be profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and forfeit his life? or what shall a man give in exchange for his life?
No mention shall be made of coral or of crystal:\par\tab Yea, the price of wisdom is above rubies.
Another parable set he before them, saying, {\cf6 The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man that sowed good seed in his field:
But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise;
{\i This is} the end of the matter; all hath been heard: Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole {\i duty} of man.
Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher; all is vanity.\par
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before the swine, lest haply they trample them under their feet, and turn and rend you.\par
and having found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had, and bought it.\par
