So from that day forth they took counsel that they might put him to death.

They sought again to take him: and he went forth out of their hand.\par

For this cause therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only brake the sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God.\par

But they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

They sought therefore to take him: and no man laid his hand on him, because his hour was not yet come.

The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him; and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to take him.

And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him.\par

They took up stones therefore to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple.\par

The Jews took up stones again to stone him.
