For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might become rich.

When I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to see the business that is done upon the earth (for also there is that neither day nor night seeth sleep with his eyes),

He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed;\par\tab For he giveth of his bread to the poor.

He hath dispersed, he hath given to the needy;\par\tab His righteousness endureth for ever:\par\tab His horn shall be exalted with honor.

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing that is good, that he may have whereof to give to him that hath need.

Give a portion to seven, yea, even unto eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.

but I say unto you, Resist not him that is evil: but whosoever smiteth thee on {\i thy} right cheek, turn to him the other also.

To him that smiteth thee on the {\i one} cheek offer also the other; and from him that taketh away thy cloak withhold not thy coat also.

And as ye would that men should do to you, do to them likewise.
