Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and {\i that} your fruit should abide: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
I will utterly consume them, saith Jehovah: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig-tree, and the leaf shall fade; and {\i the things that} I have given them shall pass away from them.\par
And even now the axe also lieth at the root of the trees: every tree therefore that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
