Jehovah hath accomplished his wrath, he hath poured out his fierce anger;\par\tab And he hath kindled a fire in Zion, which hath devoured the foundations thereof.

Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I brought upon their heads, saith the Lord Jehovah.\par

Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, mine anger and my wrath shall be poured out upon this place, upon man, and upon beast, and upon the trees of the field, and upon the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.\par

Jehovah hath done that which he purposed; he hath fulfilled his word that he commanded in the days of old;\par\tab He hath thrown down, and hath not pitied:\par\tab And he hath caused the enemy to rejoice over thee; he hath exalted the horn of thine adversaries.

But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden and enter in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.\par

For these are days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.

But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not overtake your fathers? and they turned and said, Like as Jehovah of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.\par

And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil; for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

The punishment of thine iniquity is accomplished, O daughter of Zion; he will no more carry thee away into captivity:\par\tab He will visit thine iniquity, O daughter of Edom; he will uncover thy sins.\par

Jehovah hath purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion;\par\tab He hath stretched out the line, he hath not withdrawn his hand from destroying;\par\tab And he hath made the rampart and wall to lament; they languish together.

And I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith Jehovah; and I will kindle a fire in her forest, and it shall devour all that is round about her.\par

And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith Jehovah: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have compassion, that I should not destroy them.\par

It may be they will present their supplication before Jehovah, and will return every one from his evil way; for great is the anger and the wrath that Jehovah hath pronounced against this people.

He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my wrath upon them.

Wherefore I poured out my wrath upon them for the blood which they had poured out upon the land, and because they had defiled it with their idols;

before the decree bring forth, {\i before} the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of Jehovah come upon you, before the day of Jehovah's anger come upon you.

then I will walk contrary unto you in wrath; and I also will chastise you seven times for your sins.

Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as an antelope in a net; they are full of the wrath of Jehovah, the rebuke of thy God.\par

How hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger!\par\tab He hath cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel,\par\tab And hath not remembered his footstool in the day of his anger.

He hath cut off in fierce anger all the horn of Israel;\par\tab He hath drawn back his right hand from before the enemy:\par\tab And he hath burned up Jacob like a flaming fire, which devoureth round about.

He hath bent his bow like an enemy, he hath stood with his right hand as an adversary,\par\tab And hath slain all that were pleasant to the eye:\par\tab In the tent of the daughter of Zion he hath poured out his wrath like fire.
