Behold, I am of small account; what shall I answer thee?\par\tab I lay my hand upon my mouth.

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it speaketh to them that are under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God:

But the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote his breast, saying, God, be thou merciful to me a sinner.

Seek ye Jehovah, all ye meek of the earth, that have kept his ordinances; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye will be hid in the day of Jehovah's anger.\par

Who knoweth whether God will not turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?

Who knoweth whether he will not turn and repent, and leave a blessing behind him, even a meal-offering and a drink-offering unto Jehovah your God?\par

that thou mayest remember, and be confounded, and never open thy mouth any more, because of thy shame, when I have forgiven thee all that thou hast done, saith the Lord Jehovah.\par

And there is hope for thy latter end, saith Jehovah; and {\i thy} children shall come again to their own border.

And when he was in distress, he besought Jehovah his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.

I have sewed sackcloth upon my skin,\par\tab And have laid my horn in the dust.
