Now he spake of Judas {\i the son} of Simon Iscariot, for he it was that should betray him, {\i being} one of the twelve.\par

But there are some of you that believe not.} For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who it was that should betray him.

Jesus answered them, {\cf6 Did not I choose you the twelve, and one of you is a devil?}

But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples, that should betray him, saith,

And during supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's {\i son}, to betray him,

But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
