Many therefore of his disciples, when they heard {\i this}, said, This is a hard saying; who can hear it?
Upon this many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
Why do ye not understand my speech? {\i Even} because ye cannot hear my word.
Jesus therefore said to those Jews that had believed him, {\cf6 If ye abide in my word, {\i then} are ye truly my disciples;
And blessed is he, whosoever shall find no occasion of stumbling in me.}\par
as also in all the epistles, speaking in them of these things; wherein are some things hard to be understood, which the ignorant and unstedfast wrest, as {\i they do} also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
Of whom we have many things to say, and hard of interpretation, seeing ye are become dull of hearing.
and Jesus also was bidden, and his disciples, to the marriage.
