They said therefore unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, {\cf6 Ye know neither me, nor my Father: if ye knew me, ye would know my Father also.}
For as I passed along, and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription, TO AN UNKNOWN GOD. What therefore ye worship in ignorance, this I set forth unto you.
Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you {\i from their company}, and reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.
Hear the word of Jehovah, ye that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hate you, that cast you out for my name's sake, have said, Let Jehovah be glorified, that we may see your joy; but it is they that shall be put to shame.
But before all these things, they shall lay their hands on you, and shall persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for my name's sake.
Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God; and {\i such} we are. For this cause the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
