Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I say unto you I speak not from myself: but the Father abiding in me doeth his works.
Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, {\cf6 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doeth, these the Son also doeth in like manner.
{\i even} Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.
Jesus therefore said, {\cf6 When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am {\i he}, and {\i that} I do nothing of myself, but as the Father taught me, I speak these things.
for the words which thou gavest me I have given unto them; and they received {\i them}, and knew of a truth that I came forth from thee, and they believed that thou didst send me.
to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation.\par
the same came unto him by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that thou doest, except God be with him.
