I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the peoples there was no man with me: yea, I trod them in mine anger, and trampled them in my wrath; and their lifeblood is sprinkled upon my garments, and I have stained all my raiment.
For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing-floor at the time when it is trodden; yet a little while, and the time of harvest shall come for her.
The Lord hath set at nought all my mighty men in the midst of me;\par\tab He hath called a solemn assembly against me to crush my young men:\par\tab The Lord hath trodden as in a winepress the virgin daughter of Judah.
And I saw, and behold, a white cloud; and on the cloud {\i I saw} one sitting like unto a son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.
And out of his mouth proceedeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty.
And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the standing grain, and his arm reapeth the ears; yea, it shall be as when one gleaneth ears in the valley of Rephaim.
