{\i Touching} the Almighty, we cannot find him out:\par\tab He is excellent in power;\par\tab And in justice and plenteous righteousness he will not afflict.

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!

Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any:\par\tab He is mighty in strength of understanding.

{\i He is} wise in heart, and mighty in strength:\par\tab Who hath hardened himself against him, and prospered?—

For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord Jehovah: wherefore turn yourselves, and live.\par

Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? saith the Lord Jehovah; and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?

In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.\par

Declare ye, and bring {\i it} forth; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath showed this from ancient time? who hath declared it of old? have not I, Jehovah? and there is no God else besides me, a just God and a Saviour; there is none besides me.

For his anger is but for a moment;\par\tab His favor is for a life-time:\par\tab Weeping may tarry for the night,\par\tab But joy {\i cometh} in the morning.

Canst thou by searching find out God?\par\tab Canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?

For they indeed for a few days chastened {\i us} as seemed good to them; but he for {\i our} profit, that {\i we} may be partakers of his holiness.

All things have been delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knoweth who the Son is, save the Father; and who the Father is, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son willeth to reveal {\i him}.}

And bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil {\i one}.

He hath made everything beautiful in its time: also he hath set eternity in their heart, yet so that man cannot find out the work that God hath done from the beginning even to the end.

Jehovah reigneth;\par\tab He is clothed with majesty;\par\tab Jehovah is clothed with strength; he hath girded himself therewith:\par\tab The world also is established, that it cannot be moved.

Say unto God, How terrible are thy works!\par\tab Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

Who by his strength setteth fast the mountains,\par\tab Being girded about with might;

God hath spoken once,\par\tab Twice have I heard this,\par\tab That power belongeth unto God.

Teach us what we shall say unto him;\par\tab {\i For} we cannot set {\i our speech} in order by reason of darkness.

Behold, God is great, and we know him not;\par\tab The number of his years is unsearchable.

Lo, these are but the outskirts of his ways:\par\tab And how small a whisper do we hear of him!\par\tab But the thunder of his power who can understand?\par

With {\i God} is wisdom and might;\par\tab He hath counsel and understanding.

If {\i we speak} of strength, lo, {\i he is} mighty!\par\tab And if of justice, Who, {\i saith he}, will summon me?

Doth God pervert justice?\par\tab Or doth the Almighty pervert righteousness?

It is high as heaven; what canst thou do?\par\tab Deeper than Sheol; what canst thou know?

Dominion and fear are with him;\par\tab He maketh peace in his high places.

I will fetch my knowledge from afar,\par\tab And will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

Out of the north cometh golden splendor:\par\tab God hath upon him terrible majesty.

That which is, is far off and exceeding deep; who can find it out?

Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth lovingkindness;\par\tab For thou renderest to every man according to his work.\par

Great is Jehovah, and greatly to be praised;\par\tab And his greatness is unsearchable.
