Fire and hail, snow and vapor;\par\tab Stormy wind, fulfilling his word;

Who causeth the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth;\par\tab Who maketh lightnings for the rain;\par\tab Who bringeth forth the wind out of his treasuries;

He made darkness his hiding-place, his pavilion round about him,\par\tab Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

Dost thou know how God layeth {\i his charge} upon them,\par\tab And causeth the lightning of his cloud to shine?

And it is turned round about by his guidance,\par\tab That they may do whatsoever he commandeth them\par\tab Upon the face of the habitable world,

He incloseth the face of his throne,\par\tab And spreadeth his cloud upon it.

Yea, he ladeth the thick cloud with moisture;\par\tab He spreadeth abroad the cloud of his lightning:

Canst thou send forth lightnings, that they may go,\par\tab And say unto thee, Here we are?

Then the channels of waters appeared,\par\tab And the foundations of the world were laid bare,\par\tab At thy rebuke, O Jehovah,\par\tab At the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
