For Job hath said, I am righteous,\par\tab And God hath taken away my right:
I am clean, without transgression;\par\tab I am innocent, neither is there iniquity in me:
As God liveth, who hath taken away my right,\par\tab And the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul:
So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
I put on righteousness, and it clothed me:\par\tab My justice was as a robe and a diadem.
Although there is no violence in my hands,\par\tab And my prayer is pure.\par
For thou sayest, My doctrine is pure,\par\tab And I am clean in thine eyes.
Although thou knowest that I am not wicked,\par\tab And there is none that can deliver out of thy hand?\par
For he breaketh me with a tempest,\par\tab And multiplieth my wounds without cause.
Return, I pray you, let there be no injustice;\par\tab Yea, return again, my cause is righteous.
Behold now, I have set my cause in order;\par\tab I know that I am righteous.
Let us choose for us that which is right:\par\tab Let us know among ourselves what is good.
Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from Jehovah, and the justice {\i due} to me is passed away from my God?
Doth God pervert justice?\par\tab Or doth the Almighty pervert righteousness?
Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard:\par\tab I cry for help, but there is no justice.
