For the ear trieth words,\par\tab As the palate tasteth food.

Doth not the ear try words,\par\tab Even as the palate tasteth its food?

But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, and he himself is judged of no man.

But solid food is for fullgrown men, {\i even} those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.\par

Behold now, I have opened my mouth;\par\tab My tongue hath spoken in my mouth.

(Yea, I have not suffered by mouth to sin\par\tab By asking his life with a curse);

Is there injustice on my tongue?\par\tab Cannot my taste discern mischievous things?\par

Hear my words, ye wise men;\par\tab And give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.

Let us choose for us that which is right:\par\tab Let us know among ourselves what is good.
