Behold, I waited for your words,\par\tab I listened for your reasonings,\par\tab Whilst ye searched out what to say.

The rich man is wise in his own conceit;\par\tab But the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.

He that pleadeth his cause first {\i seemeth} just;\par\tab But his neighbor cometh and searcheth him out.

Now Elihu had waited to speak unto Job, because they were elder than he.

And they waited for me as for the rain;\par\tab And they opened their mouth wide {\i as} for the latter rain.

Unto me men gave ear, and waited,\par\tab And kept silence for my counsel.

Lo this, we have searched it, so it is;\par\tab Hear it, and know thou it for thy good.\par

Therefore I said, Hearken to me;\par\tab I also will show mine opinion.

Yea, I attended unto you,\par\tab And, behold, there was none that convinced Job,\par\tab Or that answered his words, among you.
