{\b A Song of Ascents.}\par\par\tab When Jehovah brought back those that returned to Zion,\par\tab We were like unto them that dream.
Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound:\par\tab They walk, O Jehovah, in the light of thy countenance.
Many there are that say,\par\tab Who will show us {\i any} good?\par\tab Jehovah, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.
And while they still disbelieved for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, {\cf6 Have ye here anything to eat?}
And they told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is ruler over all the land of Egypt. And his heart fainted, for he believed them not.
And they waited for me as for the rain;\par\tab And they opened their mouth wide {\i as} for the latter rain.
I chose out their way, and sat {\i as} chief,\par\tab And dwelt as a king in the army,\par\tab As one that comforteth the mourners.\par
