Yet {\i God} preserveth the mighty by his power:\par\tab He riseth up that hath no assurance of life.

with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and they that dwell in the earth were made drunken with the wine of her fornication.

{\i He is} wise in heart, and mighty in strength:\par\tab Who hath hardened himself against him, and prospered?—

He leadeth priests away stripped,\par\tab And overthroweth the mighty.

They that come after shall be astonished at his day,\par\tab As they that went before were affrighted.
