Suffer me, and I also will speak;\par\tab And after that I have spoken, mock on.
Surely there are mockers with me,\par\tab And mine eye dwelleth upon their provocation.\par
They have gaped upon me with their mouth;\par\tab They have smitten me upon the cheek reproachfully:\par\tab They gather themselves together against me.
My friends scoff at me:\par\tab {\i But} mine eye poureth out tears unto God,
Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak;\par\tab And let come on me what will.
Is it good that he should search you out?\par\tab Or as one deceiveth a man, will ye deceive him?
Should thy boastings make men hold their peace?\par\tab And when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
Hear diligently my speech;\par\tab And let this be your consolations.
Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it;\par\tab Why then are ye become altogether vain?\par
