All my familiar friends abhor me,\par\tab And they whom I loved are turned against me.

Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted,\par\tab Who did eat of my bread,\par\tab Hath lifted up his heel against me.

But Jesus said unto him, {\cf6 Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?}

He hath put forth his hands against such as were at peace with him:\par\tab He hath profaned his covenant.

My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague;\par\tab And my kinsmen stand afar off.\par

My kinsfolk have failed,\par\tab And my familiar friends have forgotten me.

Even young children despise me;\par\tab If I arise, they speak against me.

Thou hast put mine acquaintance far from me;\par\tab Thou hast made me an abomination unto them:\par\tab I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.

For now ye are nothing;\par\tab Ye see a terror, and are afraid.

But thou, O Jehovah, have mercy upon me, and raise me up,\par\tab That I may requite them.
