Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery,\par\tab And life unto the bitter in soul;

Terrors shall make him afraid on every side,\par\tab And shall chase him at his heels.

All darkness is laid up for his treasures:\par\tab A fire not blown {\i by man} shall devour him;\par\tab It shall consume that which is left in his tent.

The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth;\par\tab And it sweepeth him out of his place.

Men shall clap their hands at him,\par\tab And shall hiss him out of his place.\par

He will surely wind thee round and round, {\i and toss thee} like a ball into a large country; there shalt thou die, and there shall be the chariots of thy glory, thou shame of thy lord's house.

He will keep the feet of his holy ones; But the wicked shall be put to silence in darkness; For by strength shall no man prevail.
