His archers compass me round about;\par\tab He cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare;\par\tab He poureth out my gall upon the ground.

He draweth it forth, and it cometh out of his body;\par\tab Yea, the glittering point cometh out of his gall:\par\tab Terrors are upon him.

For the arrows of the Almighty are within me,\par\tab The poison whereof my spirit drinketh up:\par\tab The terrors of God do set themselves in array against me.

Mine eyes do fail with tears, my heart is troubled;\par\tab My liver is poured upon the earth, because of the destruction of the daughter of my people,\par\tab Because the young children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city.

and spared not the ancient world, but preserved Noah with seven others, a preacher of righteousness, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly;

He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?

Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish {\i thee}; neither shall mine eye spare, and I also will have no pity.

He hath caused the shafts of his quiver to enter into my reins.

Whom I, even I, shall see, on my side,\par\tab And mine eyes shall behold, and not as a stranger.\par\tab My heart is consumed within me.

And be it still my consolation,\par\tab Yea, let me exult in pain that spareth not,\par\tab That I have not denied the words of the Holy One.

Jehovah will not pardon him, but then the anger of Jehovah and his jealousy will smoke against that man, and all the curse that is written in this book shall lie upon him, and Jehovah will blot out his name from under heaven.

The archers have sorely grieved him, And shot at him, and persecuted him:

His troops come on together,\par\tab And cast up their way against me,\par\tab And encamp round about my tent.\par

Is there any number of his armies?\par\tab And upon whom doth not his light arise?

He hath bent his bow like an enemy, he hath stood with his right hand as an adversary,\par\tab And hath slain all that were pleasant to the eye:\par\tab In the tent of the daughter of Zion he hath poured out his wrath like fire.

He hath turned aside my ways, and pulled me in pieces; he hath made me desolate.
