He shall be driven from light into darkness,\par\tab And chased out of the world.

They meet with darkness in the day-time,\par\tab And grope at noonday as in the night.

He wandereth abroad for bread, {\i saying}, Where is it?\par\tab He knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.

For the company of the godless shall be barren,\par\tab And fire shall consume the tents of bribery.

His roots shall be dried up beneath,\par\tab And above shall his branch be cut off.

For it is a fire that consumeth unto Destruction,\par\tab And would root out all mine increase.

Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are {\i as} the light that goeth forth.
