Terrors shall make him afraid on every side,\par\tab And shall chase him at his heels.

When they are saying, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall in no wise escape.

And as for them that are left of you, I will send a faintness into their heart in the lands of their enemies: and the sound of a driven leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as one fleeth from the sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.

Terrors overtake him like waters;\par\tab A tempest stealeth him away in the night.

For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.

Distress and anguish make him afraid;\par\tab They prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.

He shall be rooted out of his tent where he trusteth;\par\tab And he shall be brought to the king of terrors.

There was nothing left that he devoured not;\par\tab Therefore his prosperity shall not endure.

Therefore snares are round about thee,\par\tab And sudden fear troubleth thee,

For the morning is to all of them as thick darkness;\par\tab For they know the terrors of the thick darkness.\par

The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him;\par\tab And the desire of the righteous shall be granted.

And Esther said, An adversary and an enemy, even this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.

The wicked flee when no man pursueth;\par\tab But the righteous are bold as a lion.

O daughter of my people, gird thee with sackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee mourning, as for an only son, most bitter lamentation; for the destroyer shall suddenly come upon us.\par
