but the heavens that now are, and the earth, by the same word have been stored up for fire, being reserved against the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.\par
whom the heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, whereof God spake by the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from of old.
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment; and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.\par
Thy dead shall live; my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in the dust; for thy dew is {\i as} the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast forth the dead.\par
yea, they shall be afraid of {\i that which is} high, and terrors {\i shall be} in the way; and the almond-tree shall blossom, and the grasshopper shall be a burden, and desire shall fail; because man goeth to his everlasting home, and the mourners go about the streets:
They shall perish, but thou shalt endure;\par\tab Yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment;\par\tab As a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
And why dost thou not pardon my transgression, and take away mine iniquity?\par\tab For now shall I lie down in the dust;\par\tab And thou wilt seek me diligently, but I shall not be.\par
Yea, if a man live many years, let him rejoice in them all; but let him remember the days of darkness, for they shall be many. All that cometh is vanity.\par
