Oh that ye would altogether hold your peace!\par\tab And it would be your wisdom.
Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise;\par\tab When he shutteth his lips, he is {\i esteemed as} prudent.\par
Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak;\par\tab And let come on me what will.
Ye know {\i this}, my beloved brethren. But let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
For a dream cometh with a multitude of business, and a fool's voice with a multitude of words.
Therefore he that is prudent shall keep silence in such a time; for it is an evil time.\par
So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
How long will ye vex my soul,\par\tab And break me in pieces with words?
How long will ye hunt for words?\par\tab Consider, and afterwards we will speak.
Shall vain words have an end?\par\tab Or what provoketh thee that thou answerest?
Should thy boastings make men hold their peace?\par\tab And when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
Hear now my reasoning,\par\tab And hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
Mark me, and be astonished,\par\tab And lay your hand upon your mouth.
And shall I wait, because they speak not,\par\tab Because they stand still, and answer no more?
