Withdraw thy hand far from me;\par\tab And let not thy terror make me afraid.
Remove thy stroke away from me:\par\tab I am consumed by the blow of thy hand.
Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid,\par\tab Neither shall my pressure be heavy upon thee.\par
Let him take his rod away from me,\par\tab And let not his terror make me afraid:
My flesh trembleth for fear of thee;\par\tab And I am afraid of thy judgments.\par
Shall not his majesty make you afraid,\par\tab And his dread fall upon you?
Are not my days few? cease then,\par\tab And let me alone, that I may take comfort a little,
Only do not two things unto me;\par\tab Then will I not hide myself from thy face:
Nevertheless I withdrew my hand, and wrought for my name's sake, that it should not be profaned in the sight of the nations, in whose sight I brought them forth.
