Thou hast increased the nation, O Jehovah, thou hast increased the nation; thou art glorified; thou hast enlarged all the borders of the land.\par

Thou hast multiplied the nation, thou hast increased their joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.

The little one shall become a thousand, and the small one a strong nation; I, Jehovah, will hasten it in its time.\par

And God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.

And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them.

and he made of one every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, having determined {\i their} appointed seasons, and the bounds of their habitation;

Again, they are diminished and bowed down\par\tab Through oppression, trouble, and sorrow.
