In the multitude of words there wanteth not transgression;\par\tab But he that refraineth his lips doeth wisely.

How long will ye hunt for words?\par\tab Consider, and afterwards we will speak.

Ye know {\i this}, my beloved brethren. But let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

And certain also of the Epicurean and Stoic philosophers encountered him. And some said, What would this babbler say? others, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached Jesus and the resurrection.

An evil speaker shall not be established in the earth:\par\tab Evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow him.

Shall vain words have an end?\par\tab Or what provoketh thee that thou answerest?

How long wilt thou speak these things?\par\tab And {\i how long} shall the words of thy mouth be {\i like} a mighty wind?

Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

Should a wise man make answer with vain knowledge,\par\tab And fill himself with the east wind?

For a dream cometh with a multitude of business, and a fool's voice with a multitude of words.

Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God; for to draw nigh to hear is better than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they know not that they do evil.
