Behold, {\i it was} for {\i my} peace {\i that} I had great bitterness:\par\tab But thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption;\par\tab For thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back.

What shall I say? he hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done it:\par\tab I shall go softly all my years because of the bitterness of my soul.

And be it indeed that I have erred,\par\tab Mine error remaineth with myself.

Oh that thou wouldest hide me in Sheol,\par\tab That thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past,\par\tab That thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and remember me!

I loathe {\i my life}; I would not live alway:\par\tab Let me alone; for my days are vanity.

Do ye think to reprove words,\par\tab Seeing that the speeches of one that is desperate are as wind?
