they were stoned, they were sawn asunder, they were slain with the sword: they went about in sheepskins, in goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, ill-treated

And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, according to all that his fathers had done.

But thine eyes and thy heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for shedding innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.
