and without faith it is impossible to be well-pleasing {\i unto him}; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and {\i that} he is a rewarder of them that seek after him.
And if I have {\i the gift of} prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.\par
