And he said, {\cf6 Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to the rest in parables; that {\b seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.}
that {\b seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest haply they should turn again, and it should be forgiven them.}}
{\b He hath blinded their eyes, and he hardened their heart;\par\tab Lest they should see with their eyes, and perceive with their heart,\par\tab And should turn,\par\tab And I should heal them.}
according as it is written, {\b God gave them a spirit of stupor, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear, unto this very day.}
And the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw nigh {\i unto me}, and with their mouth and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which hath been taught {\i them};
therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.\par
Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of the rebellious house, that have eyes to see, and see not, that have ears to hear, and hear not; for they are a rebellious house.
Therefore shall the word of Jehovah be unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, there a little; that they may go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.\par
