{\b For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel\par\tab After those days, saith the Lord;\par\tab I will put my laws into their mind,\par\tab And on their heart also will I write them:\par\tab And I will be to them a God,\par\tab And they shall be to me a people:}
and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, {\i even} that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:
Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could make alive, verily righteousness would have been of the law.
While he was yet speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold, a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
I will worship toward thy holy temple,\par\tab And give thanks unto thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth:\par\tab For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
Attend unto me, O my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall go forth from me, and I will establish my justice for a light of the peoples.
Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, that shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
