that bringeth princes to nothing; that maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.

He poureth contempt upon princes,\par\tab And causeth them to wander in the waste, where there is no way.

He poureth contempt upon princes,\par\tab And looseth the belt of the strong.

They shall call the nobles thereof to the kingdom, but none shall be there; and all its princes shall be nothing.

Jehovah of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.

He will cut off the spirit of princes:\par\tab He is terrible to the kings of the earth.\par

Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

and I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith Jehovah.\par

He leadeth priests away stripped,\par\tab And overthroweth the mighty.

The lofty looks of man shall be brought low, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and Jehovah alone shall be exalted in that day.\par

For there shall be a day of Jehovah of hosts upon all that is proud and haughty, and upon all that is lifted up; and it shall be brought low;
