Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies; for thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men.

According as I have seen, they that plow iniquity,\par\tab And sow trouble, reap the same.

For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: he hath no standing grain; the blade shall yield no meal; if so be it yield, strangers shall swallow it up.\par

He that soweth iniquity shall reap calamity;\par\tab And the rod of his wrath shall fail.

Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way,\par\tab And be filled with their own devices.

There is no king saved by the multitude of a host:\par\tab A mighty man is not delivered by great strength.

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favor to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

A false witness shall not be unpunished;\par\tab And he that uttereth lies shall not escape.

The lip of truth shall be established for ever;\par\tab But a lying tongue is but for a moment.

A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth;\par\tab But the soul of the treacherous {\i shall eat} violence.

In the day of thy planting thou hedgest it in, and in the morning thou makest thy seed to blossom; but the harvest fleeth away in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.\par

There is nought but swearing and breaking faith, and killing, and stealing, and committing adultery; they break out, and blood toucheth blood.

They feed on the sin of my people, and set their heart on their iniquity.

After whom is the king of Israel come out? after whom dost thou pursue? after a dead dog, after a flea.
