For the law having a shadow of the good {\i things} to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect them that draw nigh.

who serve {\i that which is} a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, even as Moses is warned {\i of God} when he is about to make the tabernacle: for, {\b See,} saith he, {\b thou shalt make all things according to the pattern that was showed thee in the mount.}

But Christ having come a high priest of the good things that are come, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation,

which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ's.

It was necessary therefore that the copies of the things in the heavens should be cleansed with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

Now if there was perfection through the Levitical priesthood (for under it hath the people received the law), what further need {\i was there} that another priest should arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be reckoned after the order of Aaron?

let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience: and having our body washed with pure water,

And he presented the burnt-offering, and offered it according to the ordinance.
