Brethren, even if a man be overtaken in any trespass, ye who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Now we that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

I will seek that which was lost, and will bring back that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but the fat and the strong I will destroy; I will feed them in justice.\par

Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?\par

For in many things we all stumble. If any stumbleth not in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also.

Now I Paul myself entreat you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I who in your presence am lowly among you, but being absent am of good courage toward you:

But go ye and learn what {\i this} meaneth, {\b I desire mercy, and not sacrifice}: for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.}\par

If any man thinketh himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him take knowledge of the things which I write unto you, that they are the commandment of the Lord.

Defraud ye not one the other, except it be by consent for a season, that ye may give yourselves unto prayer, and may be together again, that Satan tempt you not because of your incontinency.

But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, and he himself is judged of no man.

For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace:

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and {\b ye shall find rest unto your souls.}

Who is wise and understanding among you? let him show by his good life his works in meekness of wisdom.

Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; them that are ill-treated, as being yourselves also in the body.

meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.

And it came to pass at eventide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman bathing; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, as unto babes in Christ.

And Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said, {\cf6 Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.} And he went out, and wept bitterly.\par

Now Peter was sitting without in the court: and a maid came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus the Galil\'e6an.

Let the righteous smite me, {\i it shall be} a kindness;\par\tab And let him reprove me, {\i it shall be as} oil upon the head;\par\tab Let not my head refuse it:\par\tab For even in their wickedness shall my prayer continue.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen.\par

Finally then, brethren, we beseech and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as ye received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, even as ye do walk,—that ye abound more and more.

Wherefore I beseech you to confirm {\i your} love toward him.
