Thy doom is come unto thee, O inhabitant of the land: the time is come, the day is near, {\i a day of} tumult, and not {\i of} joyful shouting, upon the mountains.
Therefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: There shall none of my words be deferred any more, but the word which I shall speak shall be performed, saith the Lord Jehovah.\par
For it is a day of discomfiture, and of treading down, and of perplexity, from the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, in the valley of vision; a breaking down of the walls, and a crying to the mountains.
And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters that are here, lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.
For the time {\i is come} for judgment to begin at the house of God: and if {\i it begin} first at us, what {\i shall be} the end of them that obey not the gospel of God?
For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought; that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth—Jehovah, the God of hosts, is his name.\par
O Jehovah, thou hast persuaded me, and I was persuaded; thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am become a laughing-stock all the day, every one mocketh me.
At eventide, behold, terror; {\i and} before the morning they are not. This is the portion of them that despoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.\par
And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the fruitful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither joyful noise: no treader shall tread out wine in the presses; I have made the {\i vintage} shout to cease.
