The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am Jehovah.\par

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord Jehovah. Return ye, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

For judgment {\i is} without mercy to him that hath showed no mercy: mercy glorieth against judgment.\par

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you.

So shall ye know that I am Jehovah your God, dwelling in Zion my holy mountain: then shall Jerusalem be holy, and there shall no strangers pass through her any more.\par

Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay aside their robes, and strip off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble every moment, and be astonished at thee.

Woe unto the wicked! {\i it shall be} ill {\i with him}; for what his hands have done shall be done unto him.

And a man of God came near and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith Jehovah, Because the Syrians have said, Jehovah is a god of the hills, but he is not a god of the valleys; therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thy hand, and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame;\par\tab And the tent of the wicked shall be no more.\par

Let them be put to shame and confounded together that rejoice at my hurt:\par\tab Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor that magnify themselves against me.

He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment,\par\tab And it came into his inward parts like water,\par\tab And like oil into his bones.

Let it be unto him as the raiment wherewith he covereth himself,\par\tab And for the girdle wherewith he is girded continually.

Let mine adversaries be clothed with dishonor,\par\tab And let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.

And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth {\i month}, in the fifth {\i day} of the month, as I sat in my house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord Jehovah fell there upon me.

Now is the end upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways; and I will bring upon thee all thine abominations.

And they shall comfort you, when ye see their way and their doings; and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord Jehovah.\par
