And the cherubim shall spread out their wings on high, covering the mercy-seat with their wings, with their faces one to another; toward the mercy-seat shall the faces of the cherubim be.
and for the altar of incense refined gold by weight; and gold for the pattern of the chariot, {\i even} the cherubim, that spread out {\i their wings}, and covered the ark of the covenant of Jehovah.

Thou wast the anointed cherub that covereth: and I set thee, {\i so that} thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went; thither was the spirit to go: and the wheels were lifted up beside them; for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
And he dreamed; and behold, a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and behold, the angels of God ascending and descending on it.
And make one cherub at the one end, and one cherub at the other end: of one piece with the mercy-seat shall ye make the cherubim on the two ends thereof.
And he set the cherubim within the inner house; and the wings of the cherubim were stretched forth, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the midst of the house.
